The Christian Meaning of “The Bride of Christ”

“The Bride of Christ” is one of the most intimate and profound biblical images describing the relationship between Christ and His people. It expresses:

  1. Christ’s covenant love for the Church

  2. The Church’s devotion, purity, and faithfulness

  3. The final union between Christ and His redeemed people at His return

This metaphor is rooted in Scripture, fulfilled in Christ, and cherished across Christian tradition.

BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS
