1. Core Meaning


Election refers to God’s sovereign choice, made in love, to save a people for Himself through Jesus Christ. 


It is God’s gracious initiative in salvation—rooted in His purpose, not human merit.


It includes:


• God choosing a people before the foundation of the world 


• Salvation grounded in God’s grace, not human effort 


• God calling, justifying, and glorifying His chosen ones 


• The Spirit applying God’s saving work 


• Believers responding in faith because God first acted


Election is not cold determinism—it is the warm, eternal love of God set upon His people.
