All About Christianity Explained

Christianity Explained exists to help people understand Christianity clearly, honestly, and thoughtfully.

Many people struggle with church, Christianity, the Bible, God, and the language Christians use. Often those questions are carried quietly and alone. This website aims to provide clear explanations, thoughtful answers, and practical resources that help make sense of the Christian faith.

The goal is not to tell people what to think, but to help them understand what Christians believe, why they believe it, and how faith connects with everyday life.

Christianity Explained seeks to be biblically grounded, intellectually honest, pastorally sensitive, and accessible to everyone—whether they are exploring Christianity for the first time or have been following Jesus for many years.

Why This Site Exists

This website grew out of a conviction that Christianity does not need protecting from difficult questions—it needs explaining.

Many people encounter Christianity through assumptions, misunderstandings, confusing language, or painful experiences. Others want to investigate faith seriously but struggle to find resources that are both thoughtful and understandable.

Christianity Explained exists to help bridge that gap.

The site explores questions such as:

  • What do Christians actually believe?

  • Can the Bible be trusted?

  • Why do Christians disagree with one another?

  • How does faith relate to science, suffering, doubt, and everyday life?

  • Is it possible to believe while still wrestling with difficult questions?

At its heart, this site exists to help people engage with Christianity honestly and thoughtfully.

About Nathan Haddock

I am not a theologian with all the answers.

I am not a church celebrity or public figure.

I am simply an ordinary Christian who has spent much of his life asking questions and helping others explore them.

That journey began in earnest when I attended Bible college in 1994. While I valued the opportunity to study Scripture, I quickly discovered that I was less interested in academic theology for its own sake and more interested in understanding what actually helps people live, think, struggle, doubt, grow, and follow Jesus in everyday life.

That conviction has shaped everything I have done since.

Over the years, I have worked in ministry, writing, charity work, project management, photography, communication, and creative strategy.

Each role taught me something about people, communication, creativity, and perspective—lessons that continue to influence how I write and teach today.

I have written blogs and daily Christian reflections for many years and have published several books exploring Christianity and its connection to real human experience.

Outside of this work, I enjoy travel, writing, photography, film, food, and exploring the world around me—reminders that faith is not lived in isolation but in the ordinary moments of everyday life.

What We Believe

Christianity Explained is rooted in historic Christian belief and seeks to present Christianity faithfully, thoughtfully, and clearly.

We believe:

  • There is one God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human.

  • Jesus lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose bodily from the dead.

  • Salvation is a gift of God's grace received through faith in Jesus Christ.

  • The Bible is God's inspired Word and is trustworthy for faith and life.

  • The Holy Spirit works in believers to bring conviction, transformation, and spiritual growth.

  • The Church is God's people, called to worship Him, love one another, and share the good news of Jesus.

  • Jesus Christ will return, judge the living and the dead, and establish His eternal kingdom.

Alongside these convictions, we also believe:

  • Questions are not enemies of faith.

  • Doubt should be engaged honestly rather than ignored.

  • Truth matters, but so does how we communicate it.

  • Theology should help people flourish, not simply win arguments.

  • God is not threatened by complexity, struggle, or sincere questioning.
